The FAST philosophy

A shared experience built to change practice

Most conferences ask you to make choices. Which track are you going to attend? Which speaker do you choose to see, and which ones do you have to miss? Do you head to the exhibit hall? By the end of the event, everyone leaves with a different collection of presentations, conversations, and takeaways.

But what was actually accomplished? Did we learn enough together to improve patient outcomes? Did we discover ideas that will change the way we practice? Did we leave as better clinicians than when we arrived?

If not, then what are we doing? Why have a conference at all?

FAST is built around a different philosophy. The goal isn't to expose attendees to as much content as possible. The goal is to improve ourselves as clinicians and improve patient outcomes.

That's why FAST is built around a shared experience instead of competing tracks. Everyone from attendees and speakers to exhibitors, creators, and special guests experiences the event together. We all hear the same presentations, participate in the same conversations, and leave with new perspectives, practical ideas, and a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our profession. When everyone experiences the event together, the discussions become deeper and the impact extends far beyond the conference itself.

From TED-style MAINSTAGE presentations and hands-on pre-conference workshops to the FAST Creator Festival™ and FAST After Hours™, every part of FAST is intentionally designed to bring people together. The result is an event that feels less like a collection of lectures and more like a community working toward a common goal.
